My #LentInMusic, 2018 (Day 32)

In honor of today's feast, a setting of "St. Patrick's Breastplate" (sometimes known as The Deer's Cry or as The Lorica of Saint Patrick). This version is far-and-away the most famous one, and comes from Sir Charles Villiers Stanford, who also composed an organ sonata known as "Celtica" around the same theme. (Also, PLAYLIST).

I bind unto myself today
The strong name of the Trinity
By invocation of the same,
The Three in One and One in Three.
