Tomm Moore, also known as "The Mind Behind Two Of The Best Animated Films From The Past Decade (Meaning, Of Course, The Song Of The Sea And The Secret Of Kells)," is working on a new film. It's called Wolfwalkers. Moore describes it as the “final panel of our Irish folklore triptych,”and after seeing the "concept trailer," I can barely contain my excitement!
To be honest, I was already barely containing my excitement before I saw this trailer. Now, it's just getting out of hand/becoming an epidemic. (And this "Behind-the-Scenes" clip from the same exclusive CartoonBrew post that revealed the trailer isn't helping me reign in my expectations much. Or at all.)
In a time of superstition and magic, when wolves are seen as demonic and nature an evil to be tamed, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn, comes to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last pack. But when Robyn saves a wild native girl, Mebh, their friendship leads her to discover the world of the Wolfwalkers and transform her into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.
