First, his thoughts on the astonishing mountain image that brought his work to my attention as I drifted lazily past 500px.com a few days ago:
Landmannalaugar in the Icelandic highlands. While there, we were lucky in that the weather, which had started out with a dense and low cloud cover, eventually cleared up: a touch of sunlight really brings out the colors in the landscape (which however no photo can really do justice).
And The Alps.
A corner of Lake Obersee in the Berchtesgaden region of the Bavarian Alps. The lake is downriver from Röthbachfall, Germany's highest waterfall, and its water flows on into Königssee, Germany's deepest lake.
And let's not forget Norway.
Summer morning on the coast of Nappstraumen, a stream separating the Lofoten islands of Flakstadøya and Vestvågøya. Invisibly, the islands are nowadays connected by an undersea tunnel, and in this shot, the gap is also bridged by the shadow of Offersøykammen, a mountain of 436m.
